Frank J. Twarog
Frank grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and joined the firm in 2002, concentrating in the areas of federal and state criminal defense, divorce and family law, plaintiff’s personal injury, and representation of University of Vermont (UVM) students in their Judicial Affairs Hearings.
In 2010, Frank became one of four attorneys in Vermont to be admitted into the prestigious National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), a nationwide organization comprised of only the most actively engaged defense attorneys in the area of DUI law. He was also recognized by the National Advocacy for DUI Defense (NAFDD), an invitation-only organization that identifies the top DUI attorneys in the country. Frank is also selected by his peers for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers in the area of criminal law.
As co-counsel with Kurt Hughes, Frank is perhaps the youngest criminal defense attorney in Vermont to successfully defend a client charged with first-degree murder in his first criminal jury trial. Frank served as a board member of the Vermont Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division and was the youngest President of Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the same year he was declared one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
